Kashmir Model Town (aka KMT Society or Kashmir Town/Kashmir Housing Society Chakri Road) is the first Housing project launched under the name of Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Housing Society Ltd (JKCHS) in 1980.
Possessions of plots are transferred to the allottees. The security arrangements are established. A model house has been built in the Scheme to entice members to create their own homes.
Kashmir Model town is situated on the Main Chakri Road Rawalpindi, close to Al-Haram City (a well-known housing project). It is approximately 19 km away from GPO, Islamabad.
The developers of Kashmir Model Town have aimed to create a modern and sustainable community that offers its residents a high standard of living. The scheme features wide roads, lush green parks, playgrounds, and other recreational facilities, making it an ideal place for families to live.
Furthermore, the housing scheme is strategically located near the New Islamabad International Airport, making it an attractive option for frequent travelers. It is also located near the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway, providing easy access to both cities.
The work of development in Kashmir Model Town Chakri Road Rawalpindi was completed 20 years earlier in Phase I and II.
But, Phase III could have been developed in the past, and the work done in Phase-I and II was not completed as progressed. Allottees did not meet the construction of houses. The construction work has been slack.
However, the ongoing Management has begun the repair and rehabilitation work in KMT in Phase-I and II.
Kashmir Model Town is a well-planned and well-developed housing scheme that offers a comfortable and modern lifestyle to its residents.
