Kashmir Model Town (aka KMT Society or Kashmir Town/Kashmir Housing Society Chakri Road) is the first Housing project launched under the name of Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Housing Society Ltd (JKCHS) in 1980.
Possessions of plots are transferred to the allottees. The security arrangements are established. A model house has been built in the Scheme to entice members to create their own homes.
Kashmir Model town is situated on the Main Chakri Road Rawalpindi, close to Al-Haram City (a well-known housing project). It is approximately 19 km away from GPO, Islamabad.

But, Phase III could have been developed in the past, and the work done in Phase-I and II was not completed as progressed. Allottees did not meet the construction of houses. The construction work has been slack.
However, the ongoing Management has begun the repair and rehabilitation work in KMT in Phase-I and II.
